Ginny found a 7 year old Mare in New River for $1000. Guy and Chris went and looked at it on Thursday and bought it. The owner delivered it to the ranch today. Chris says it's real gentle, went well for him when he rode it around at the owner's place. Only negative is that it's 14 1/3 hands high so smallerish like Chicta (sp). Don't think it's had any cattle experience and the rocky terrain will be something to get used to, as well as grazing on that barren land we call a ranch. Chris and I were up there this Wednesday and he got 5 horses shod and I fixed fence. There is some pretty good grass on the Bull Pasture where we have the horses right now so they are looking good.
